An Introduction to Organizational Leadership
ORGL 500 An Introduction to Organizational Leadership Fall 2011 Dr. Tony Andenoro
Description:
Introduction to Leadership opened my eyes to what leadership can truly be. In this course we discussed the myriad of different leadership styles and how these different styles impact those around them. It was in this course that I truly started to understand how I was wired leadership wise, and how I wanted to use this to impact the world. It was here that I started to understand what I believe to qualify as true leadership and the pitfalls of pseudo-leadership. Or, as I like to call it, positional power, and how dysfunctional and damaging that can be.
Artifacts:
1. History of Leadership: Nature vs. Nurture & Great Man Theory
2. Styles of leadership through a behavioral lens Autocratic to Laissez-Faire Leadership
3. Blake & Mounton’s Leadership Grid
