Leadership and Diversity
ORGL 506 Leadership and Diversity Fall 2012 Dr. Lazarina Topuzova
Description:
Developing a servant-leadership based approach and work environment sets the stage for the “we” atmosphere we want to work towards. When we live in, or work towards, a “we” culture, I believe as a community we are then able to celebrate the diversity that surrounds us. We can then embrace our differences and celebrate them. Ultimately, this provides the freedom allowing us to be critical thinkers towards the idea of tolerance, and have true understandings of ourselves, and others.
Artifacts:
Stereotypes of all kinds: Race, Religion, Gender, Cultural, Economic, Etc. Describe respectful behaviors, provide an empathetic explanation of various individuals’ perspectives, and develop a plan that demonstrates how they will continue to develop their self-knowledge regarding diversity issues.
