Organizational Theory and Behavior

ORGL 615 Organizational Theory and Behavior Spring 2018 Dr. Dennis Conners

Description:
This course had an excellent blend of theory and application. Being able to delve into how organizations can function and then read about organizations that live out these theories in practice was inspiring. My favorite part of this course was when we delved into the MindTree organization. I loved how they loved their people. They were not an organization of power or secrets. Rather, they wanted to always grow their employees and lived by the 90-90-90 rule. This rule upholds the practice that 90% of the company would know about 90% of the things that were going on 90% of the time. I can only imagine If my organization worked under this premise, and how it would revolutionize the culture of our organization!

Artifacts:

  1. Systems Thinking
  2. Organizational Gardeners
  3. Averting tragedies in teams
  4. Organizational structures
